New Blog!

Hello everyone! This is a new blog dedicated to the best animal ever created...Horses. Here, I will post all my horse-related discoveries and knowledge that I have acquired over the years.

Now to start out, I will tell you my story. I will make it a quick version because I could go on all day with the details of my horse life. Well here it is:

I started to dream about having a horse when I was about 9 years old. Of coarse, we lived in a sub-division and my parents weren't too thrilled with the idea of buying a horse. So I settled for riding lessons and I started to work at different farms so I could be around horses. During these years, I learned much more about this wonderful animal and how to care for them. When I was 13, my parents finally said we could afford a horse. I bought my lesson horse from one of the barns I worked at. He was an old Arabian gelding named Prince that I had grown attached to over the years. We boarded him at a barn until I was 15 years old. We had moved to a property with 7 acres of land and set up our own pasture for the horse. Prince and I had 5 happy years together of walks through the woods, doing gymkhana at the local arena, showing in the 4-H fair, trail riding with friends, and cantering bareback through the yard.

Sadly, my old horse died of old age earlier this month. Of coarse I am heartbroken, but I don't want the story won't stop here. I want to continue working with horses and and teach others what I know. Maybe in the near distant future, I will have a stable of my own.
